பல் பரிசோதனைகள் ஏன் அவசியம்

என் அருகில் உள்ள பல் மருத்துவர்

The American Dental Association recommends that both children and adults have a dental checkup and cleaning twice a year. Once a child has a full set of primary teeth, he or she should come in for regular appointments, and parents can bring infants and toddlers in for the occasional appointment to get them used to going to the பல் மருத்துவர்.

Regular preventive dental care is essential to maintaining the health of one’s teeth and gums. These appointments allow Ideal Dental’s dentists to detect and treat oral health problems as early as possible.

A typical dental examination consists of two parts.

Oral prophylaxis is simply a fancy way of saying “dental cleaning.” Plaque is removed from your teeth by a dental hygienist using a special instrument. The scraping may be slightly uncomfortable, but it is necessary to prevent tooth decay. The hygienist will then polish and floss your teeth. The polish is of professional quality and will feel grittier than regular toothpaste.

While cleaning your teeth, hygienists take note of any issues they notice, such as inflamed gums or excessive plaque and tartar. Before the second part of your exam, they give this information to the பல் மருத்துவர்.

After your hygienist has completed the first part of the exam, your பல் மருத்துவர் will enter the exam room to examine your teeth and gums. To measure the space between your teeth and gums, we use a specialised dental tool. Gum disease causes your gums to form small pockets with deeper spaces between your teeth than normal. Your பல் மருத்துவர் will also look for signs of tooth decay.

தி பல் மருத்துவர் will then examine your head, neck, tongue, throat, and face for any signs of swelling or redness that could indicate the presence of a disease. Dentists have received extensive training in detecting the early signs of oral cancer and play a critical role in its detection.

If your பல் மருத்துவர் notices any problems, such as tooth decay or a cracked tooth, you will need to schedule a follow-up appointment. Otherwise, you will not need to return to Ideal Dental until your next six-month preventive care exam.

How to Take Care of Your Oral Health Between Visits

Although biannual dental checkups are important, the things you do every day at home have a much greater impact on your long-term oral health. Brushing and flossing your teeth at least twice a day is recommended. You might also want to use mouthwash every time you brush your teeth to help control plaque, which turns into bacteria. Plaque forms on your teeth every day, and regular brushing, flossing, and mouthwash use are your best defences against it. Your diet can have a big impact on your oral health.
